Nelson Street

I've finally got around to photographing the street art in Nelson Street. This was all done in the summer of last year. I've seen it lots of times from the bus, but walking around it is incredible. There's lots tucked away in all sorts of nooks and crannies. It's not all to my taste, but the skill involved is fantastic. There's lots that I haven't photographed yet and this is only part of what I have.

I like the one above, with the multiple eyes. I've seen a couple of similar paintings around Stokes Croft and St Werburgh's.

This on looks like an advert for Coca Cola or something, but it just says Welcome to Bristol.

If you think the faces are ugly, just look at the buildings!

More multiple eyes.

Detail of painting below. It's really lovely.

Nelson Street

There was a Street Art event in Nelson Street last week.
I haven't been down there yet, but did snap this when I was going home on the bus.
Pretty impressive scale.
